Lifetime Pet Licenses
An Ordinance regulating pet licensing was recently adopted by the Trimont City Council that provides for lifetime licensing of cats and dogs. The cost for each license is $5.00. If your pet's license is not a lifetime license, it has expired. Please stop at City Hall to renew it for the lifetime of your pet.
Pet licensing ensures that if your pet is lost, it can be returned to you, rather than be taken to the animal shelter in Fairmont. All dogs and cats are required to be licensed. City Ordinance limits the number of domestic animals per household to four (4). A maximum of two dogs per household is permitted.
Any owner who is found to be in violation of this Ordinance is guilty of a petty misdemeanor. This Ordinance will be enforced to ensure the safety and comfort of all Trimont residents.
